Bowl movements

So we have pretty much packed the entire house with the exception of maybe 6 bowls which we need to eat out of for the next few days… but other than that everything that can go in a box is in a box. It’s hard to believe that we are going to be relocating after two years in this apartment. We became “we” in this apartment! and now that “we” is soon becoming “Three” we are moving… It is both great and sad… I will miss our friends here in Dallas a lot… more than they will ever know but we are very excited to see what God is doing in Houston and what he will do in our lives down there.

And if you are a friend of ours (maybe even one plotting to put the u-haul up on block or something) just remember the immortal word of that great mom-rocker Michael W Smith

“Friends are friends forever
if the Lords the lord of them. “

College Graduate

dsc02150.jpgNow it’s really official…I actually have a diploma. I am a college graduate with a bachelor of arts in music. What a joy and relief! Just thought I would share this picture of me at my graduation…we think it’s pretty cute!

Actually Graduating

It is official…I will be graduating from college on Friday at 10am. I can’t believe it’s finally happening, but there is no better time since Afton will be here in only a few months. I am already worried about what I’m going to do with all this extra time, just waiting for Afton to come. College has been an amazing journey that has taught me so much about myself, and my relationships. It is such a blessing to have gone to a Christian university and to still be close friends with the people I met my freshmen year. They are all amazing Godly friends, and we have all supported and encouraged each other over the past five years. It is such a fantastic group of people, and I know nothing will ever change our friendships that are rooted in Christ. As we are growing up and starting families and new adventures, God is calling us all in different directions. It is sad to lose the closeness in distance we once had at DBU. But it is so exciting to see God’s plans working in all of our lives. I would not change anything about my college experience. And now that it is over, I can look back with happiness and rejoice in the blessing of friendships that will last a lifetime. Goodbye DBU, hello real world!
